Fourth one up on #sendFOODS is... Myzen Ramen!
For the longest time, I was not a fan of ramen at all, but I was surrounded by friends and family who loved the taste of ramen. I didn't really get why... The first time I tried it I asked myself, "what's so special about this?"
For those of you who don't know what ramen is, it is a Japanese dish made with Chinese-style wheat noodles, meat or fish based broth, vegetables and/or meat with other toppings.
I remember trying it years ago so maybe my taste buds were just different at the time, and that could be why I didn't like it. I finally tried it again this year, and it turns out I actually like ramen. However, it's not something I would eat a lot. Just occasionally.
My best friends introduced me to the ramen restaurant called Myzen Ramen. It's located in Sunnyvale so it's not too far from school. Since I don't normally go to ramen restaurants, I was a little overwhelmed with the menu just because I didn't know what was good or not. I ended up ordering the Miso ramen because the word "miso" was something I was familiar with. I also told the waitress to make it spicy because spicier is always better! Well for me anyways.
I was actually satisfied with how my ramen turned out! And my friends were so surprised and happy that I finally liked ramen. If you like ramen, try Myzen Ramen!
